Devereux Center Responds in Covid-19 Crisis
When the news of Covid-19 came, The Devereux Center staff immediately began to work on a plan to make sure that our vulnerable clients could be safe while still meeting their needs. We immediately implemented increased cleaning schedules and limited client contact by requiring that all food be served instead of offering self service. We also began screening clients for symptoms of any illness but especially Covid-19. Our center remains open to our clients 4 days a week with food being available 7 days a week in conjunction with other community partners. We KNOW that where you give is a choice and we are honored to be your choice during these difficult times. Thank you for standing with us as we serve those who are in need!
Pictured above is Ron, a client who just recently landed a job. He is still committed to volunteering on Friday's even though he is working 4 ten hour days. I am so proud of Ron who is making postive steps to improve his life!
